Ok I was posting on another thread and though how much I am loving the Caskettness this season I have come to realise something. There has been two episodes where Beckett has been doubting the relationship and it has been Castle which has been the one who has said to her " look we can do this" The first time was in Secrets Safe with Me when the killer was saying about how in place romances never work because you have to keep it a secret and in the end all the lies you tell make the relationship fail in the end and it was Beckett who was like " do you think that will be us" and it was Castle who was said no matter what and even if we cannot work together we will be together and then in After Hours when the guy who ended up being the killer said about them coming from two differant worlds... this is such good writing because it showing that even though Beckett is now in a relationship with Castle she still has those vulnerabilities within the relationship and she is not fully secure with Castle because though the wall is down there are still parts that she has to work through... which is what I think makes her so awesome

What do you guys think about it?

I agree completely, I think she's been through so much in her life , she's lost so many People that She's afraid of Losing Him, she's that in love. and yes it makes me love Kate so much more.

I agree, she has so many insecurities that having that one person that she loves she does not want to lose her like she has lost so many other people in her life. I do not believe that she does not trust Castle though he has had many girlfriends in his past and wives I think she knows that he would not cheat on her... not that it would not make her jealous seeing other women flirt with him, love jealous Beckett. Beckett has said that she is a one and done type and I think she knows that Castle is her one, I mean if you look back at Beckett's relationships they have all ended because she has realised that they do not compare to Castle. I am glad that they are showing Beckett's insecurities, I mean in real life when we are in relationships we all have had insecurities right?

I really hope that in future episodes the fact she is scared of losing Castle and the insecurities she is having within the relationship means that she will pay another visit to councilling

I really like this idea and hope it is something that will be explored. Beckett is complex. Both of them have had this idea of each other together for a long time and now it is a reality. You have so much invested in one person the thought of losing them or not working out is of course going to play on her mind and with his history in a lot of ways Castle is gamble and she has always played it safe.

Hence my favorite scene in the last episode was (I loved the hug and the kiss and there resolve) but Beckett breaking that car window!!!!!! her pure frustration and anger is something we have never really seen before, at least in relation to her feelings for castle.

I loved that scene too it was one of my favorites of the whole episode.

in regards to Kate and how she's insecure. I don't know I think due to the fact that I'm so much like her personality wise I can relate to it. Not only does she have to deal with the knowledge of the fact that He'd been married before. She also deals with his fame and all that comes with it. if I were in that situation I would probably be a little afraid of losing the guy but also what the world would think of Me. I think she's insecure about that as well.

very well said I think it's realistic that she's not perfect and is still working through that but it's clear that she's opened up to Castle in ways she never could before and I'm sure she'll continue to work on that as time goes on.

I remember AM saying that if the story calls for the councilling sessions to come back then he will bring it back but I really hope he does. I know I have mentioned it before but I love how open Beckett is and we see the true raw emotions that she might not show when she is with Castle, I love how the counciller made Beckett she the other side of the story when sometimes she may of been stubbon and I think he helped Beckett in season 4 to realise her true emotions for Castle especially when they were being all ansty towards each other, the scene for me which stands out for me is when Beckett was saying that Castle is acting all werid on her and the councillor made her see that he has been waiting for her for so long and by her not responding maybe its too late. It made her see how much Castle and also how much she cares/loves him and how if she carries on she may end up losing him.


SaraSidleStokes - I agree I do belive that some of the insecurity comes from the fact that she has to deal with his fame and the fact he has been married before but I do not believe that it is all of the reason that she is insecure. I think the fame part of Castles life she has been to his book signings she knows what comes with the fame but then she has been a part of his life now for so long that I think she knows that although the will get more attention now that they are together but I think she knows that Castle will protect her from it especially as he knows she does not like being in the limelight as we found out from a recent episode I think she knows that Castle will protect her from all of that just like he did to Alexis. I think most of her insecurties come from being scared about losing the ones she cares about like she has had happen in her life before.
