Aww I wish ABC wasn't so last minute with Castle... I'd rather know now if the future is good or bad

Does anyone know if the season finale is a cliffhanger or not? At one point I read they didn't want one, than I read that they would consider one. With the unknown I'd hope it's not a cliffy.

The show runners said it would be a satisfying end but still leave room enough to have another season like how last year ended.
