It would have been a bit difficult on television, though, if Katniss knew about it. Obviously in the district he'd try to keep it under the table. And I know we're supposed to think Annie is "mad," but as evidenced by Mockingjay she can be lucid. Maybe enough to watch television?

SC gave Finnick more layers than I was expecting. I liked him from the beginning, but MJ made me love him. I wasn't expecting his character to have so much depth.

True. If she watched the television, he probably told her that he had to. Rather than just think he was cheating on her for fun. But then I wonder if Anne was really "mad", what kind of relationship they had. I don't think it was an atypical relationship before they got married.

I don't think she would have been mad. It's just interesting because sometimes she probably gets confused, and it would still be weird seeing the boy you love (and has probably said he loved you) hang over all these girls.

Either way... moving on. I still can't deal with the fact that he died. It's hard to compute because it just happened, and we had no time to grieve. Realistic, I guess, but heartbreaking.

I know On one hand I give SC credit for being realistic that not every character can get a dramatic character death no matter how large a role but....

If they do a MJ movie I'm going to be the biggest emotional wreck there is, I'm going to be full-out sobbing. The prostitution storyline Oh dear lord. That hit me SO hard. Seeing that on screen is going to kill me. Finnick is an onion. He has so many layer that aren't really evident when you first see him but he has so many stories to tell and it's just really heartbreaking and you know, as the series goes on you realize that he was just a child, he was FOURTEEN when he won the Games.

Everytime I read CF, I feel sick at the line where Katniss says that the Capitol freaked when he turned 16 and got their hands on him and knowing what we know in Mockingjay it just ... *cries*

I didn't actually like him when I first met him. I thought he was arrogant at first but when he saved Peeta, I started liking him. Mockingjay, I loved him a lot.
