although, in someways maybe its for the best that Maysilee died. Now I'm not saying Haymitch's life is perfect because its far from that.

But the life of a victor, isn't pretty. You may be prostituted off (like Finnick is), for the Capitol.

I do wonder how she would have cope from it though. With the exception of Annie, and somewhat of Johanna we didnt see much of a female victor mindset

Honestly to a certain degree, we only see the PTSD in a few characters. Haymitch with the alcohol, Katniss & Peeta we started to see the signs in CF with the nightmares, and Katniss breakdown in MJ. Annie is obvious.A few of the other victors. But for the most part they didn't seem to have changed very much because of the games.

As for Maysilee, it's hard to say. I don't think it would affect her in the same way it affected Annie. (Annie is innocent, she is probably the only victor who didn't killed along with Peeta. But Annie is also the most damaged one.) But if I had to guess it may have been a cross between Johanna and Katniss.

Well some of the others had other problems. I think the ones from 6 were morphine addicts so they would have something to ease away for the pain

But the real question is, did they really win? Yeah their alive, but at what cost. Haymitch witnessed a friend died in the arena, killed a few people, and then their is what Snow did his family.

I don't think they really won anything. Sure they are alive but the reasons you said are reasons you wouldn't want to win
