The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley is calling on his fans to help raise funds to go towards treatments for his cancer-stricken friend.
The actor posted a video on YouTube.com on Monday (28Jul14) in which he talks about his 30-year-old friend Maggie, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour last week (begs21Jul14).
He describes her as a full-time employee who, even with insurance benefits, will be left with "monumental" medical costs that are "virtually insurmountable".
Wesley says, "I'm humbly asking you guys here to join me today and donate."
The actor is even offering fans Vampire Diaries memorabilia and a personal phone call in exchange for donations to the Rally.com fundraiser, which was launched on Monday.
Maggie's family and friends are hoping to raise at least $25,000 (£14,721) to cover costs associated with major surgery she's slated to have next week (04Aug14).
The campaign had raised $9,000 (£5,300) as Wenn went to press.

We need more peeps to donate. To raise $25000 requires a contribution of just $1 each from 0.8% of Paul's followers!

As far as I can read from tweets from other of her friends there's two days left to raise money before she has her surgery!

Sadly the https://www.medgift.com/FriendsofMaggie had a big setback because someone made a fake contribution of around 12K (It think it was)

How can anyone be that evil?
