Just watched it and I agree. This episode is a miss and it it a meh.

Seems like everybody is off and the storyline was fastforwarded.

Stefan/Rebekah scenes. I feel like their scenes give off a sibling vibe especially the part where Rebekah was throwing tantrums when they were feeding and Stefan just keep humoring her. The romantic vibe that we saw in the 1920's was missing.

Klaus/Stefan scenes. They are acting like friends in the early part of the episode, ganging up on Rebekah but to be honest I much prefer them sassing each other. They are more fun to watch that way. I wonder how will their interaction will be now when Klaus founds about Stefan's betrayal.

Stefan/Katherine scenes. Awww, she saved him.

I loved their banter. "Happy to know you still care." Like I said, if Stefan will have a relationship while Elena is off finding herself, I prefer it to be Katherine.

As an SE shipper, my heart is skipping a beat for these 2.

I was wincing the whole time he was being tortured.

Poor baby.

I love Stefan but seriously, his plan is not well thought of. *smh* Ugh, Stefan sweetie, diabolical plans seems not to be your strong suit.

So I shouldn't bother watching the whole episode?

I'm curious about the SK scene though so will probably watch that on YouTube

I don't know BB the episode was pretty much a mess. Had some bright spots, but it was the worse episode for sure. At least to me it was. Anyway it's up to you.

I agree Tara. I didn't like it at all. I guess with the episode so good last week, I was expecting a solid one.

And the Anna/Jeremy scenes seems like a fan service, imo. It didn't do anything for me and in terms of SL, it remains stagnant.

I think you would like the T/C scenes Katie.

But it's like only a few minutes.

I'm basically just choosing which eps to watch based on what you guys say about the episode

I skipped episode 2 and watched 1 and 3. I think I'll watch ep 5 because the scene between SE in the promo looked intense

I didn't think it would be as good as episode three. Episodes after the flashabck episode are hard to follow. I just didn't think it would be this bad.

As a fan of Jeremy/Bonnie I wasn't really a fan of it either.

I'm clinging onto this ship like crazy especially since all my other ships are most likely a no go (not even for a little while) or busted (Alaric/Jenna)

Yeah Katie as a Tyler/Caroline fan I think you might like their scenes. Hopefully they are in youtube. I would be surprised if they weren't.

I think it's funny (not in a bad way ) how pretty united TVD fan base is about their dislike for the episode.

So far, the people that i follow in twitter didn't like it too.

And so far almost all people are mad at something that happened in the show.

True, but I never seen it so united in their hate for episode.

Sure you might have one fan base who don't like something in an episode but generally liked it or who don't like it overall, but this pretty much angered every one of them.

I thought TV Watchtower had some interesting things to say about Stefan in this episode and interesting contrasts between he and Damon:

So with everyone shedding their disguises, their true colors are revealed. Stefan’s heart beats true blue like a good hero; and Damon’s heart is bloody red with lust and anger. Perhaps Klaus should be more wary of the Salvatore brothers — alone they are manageable, but if they work together, odds are Klaus will end up regretting that he chose to tangle with them again.
