I'm sure the writers could bring her mom back into a storyline if they really wanted. I guess we'll see..

Yeah I think they could I just don't see how it would work. It would kind of take away the point of why her mother had to leave in my opinion, but who knows.

Didn't her mom have to leave because of Semak? Is he still a threat?

Another SL I'd like for them to explore is a possibility of a sibling. I know it's been done before, but what if someone other than Semak poses a threat to Zetrof? I know Alex doesn't want anything to do with that company, but it would be interesting to see how it plays out. My hopes of her being a female Bruce Wayne was dashed last season

No, I think she left because simply Alex couldn't take care of her how much she needed, she were busy with Nikita's mission and all that stuff. So Katya would have spent the days alone anyway...
I remember Alex saying to her that she would have joined her at the end of everything.

I thought Ari wanted Zetrov too and I guess he won't stop even if he didn't get it "legally".

I think the writers didn't do that - Alex as the head of Zetrov - because this work would have separatd her from the team. To run Zetrov she needs to be in Russia or anyway in Europe, if not always at least very often. Zetrov company would be an Alex-alone thing (and we already saw that when she wanted to kill Semak, she was alone and separate from the others, except for Sean).

I guess I want Alex to have stability in her life. And not the kind that a love interest could bring, or even Nikita. I want her to reconnect with her mother and fix things.

I'm sure we'll have it at some point, but I can see anyway all the team pop up at Alex's house sometimes
