What is the WRC mode and how do I get to it?

While doing a scan with Adware Away it said that I had a Notify Dll Hijacker and that I needed to "Please power off your computer directly and boot to WRC mode

Under WRC mode, please type : batch DeleteDll.bat(press enter)" and that's all great and fine, but I don't know how to get to the WRC mode. Can anyone help?

This page at Adware Away's website tells you how but this

After you install WRC successfully, please write to us then we will tell you how to remove it manually.
sounds suspicious to me. I would run Adaware instead and see what it finds. They have a support forum where you can post your log file and they will tell you what to do. They helped my husband when he was cleaning the spyware off my computer a couple of weeks ago.

WRC = Windows Recovery Mode. It's a system restore type situation. Try running other virus / spyware scanners and it should be ok.

I have run other ones and I've had problems with all of them.

Ad-Aware keeps freezing.
My Norton keeps freezing half-way through and re-starting my computer.
My Adware Away says that I have 1st Bar Hijacker and it keeps removing it, but it's back a few mins later. It also says I have Notify Dll Hijacker, but says I need to goto the WRC mode to get rid of it....
My Spybot finds a bunch of things and then when I try to remove them it says "Unexpected error in fixing problems (datei "C:WINDOWS\System32\drivers\ect\hosts" kann nicht etstellt werden. The Process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process)

People at the AdAware support forum can help you with that. I was looking at the forum recently and saw other people with the same problem.

try running spybot first then adaware. sometimes one program is better than the other at eliminating spyware.
