Software support
Bought new computer reecently and of course new software. When I send an email attachment that was created in Microsoft word recipients cant open the attachment. The message says that "file may not be supported by any of the installed converters" Help!! self taught computer user!!

What version of Office do you have? Since you bought a new PC I'm thinking you might have Office 2007 and the people you are sending the file to don't have it. If that's the case, do the following when you save the file.
Instead of selecting Save, choose Save As and at the bottom, where it says file type, select an early version of Word instead. That should fix things. |

Yeah, that's probably it. And if you're sending it to someone with a Mac, 2007 isn't even an option. I have that issue between my brother's computer (Vista) and mine (OS X).
