So does anyone know how to add a header to a livejournal? Obviously it's possible, but I can not for the life of me figure it out. I tried to google it but I'm must be google-challenged because i got nothin'

Well, there are these things called overrides where you can customize your lj by overriding what the standard configurations are.

Mine's set to 2010. It gets a little annoying when you go to the "last updated post", since that's always it, but it works. :)

I can answer that. You cannot get rid of the ad's. Maybe a paid user can, but I would not know since I'm just finding out about all of this. If you have a plus account you have ad's on your personal LJ, but you get extra goodies like a paid account member has.

Here's my question. I do not see the advertisements. I see that on people's journal's with plus accounts they have "advertisement" written on top of a big blank spot then at the bottom it says "customize" and "feedback". They're icons are on the left side instead of the right above their username and everything else.


Can anyone see the advertisements?
