Help with Changing Default Homepage

Can someone help me? I usually set the default webpage on my computer as www.yahoo.com But for some reason, everytime I turn my computer on, it changes to some weirdo website I've never even been on. I go to "Internet Options" to change it, but then it switches back to the same old site again. What can I do?

You might want to clear your cache and your temp internet folder, and then try resetting it again.

You might have a trojan virus if it changes ur net stuff like that. You shuld do a scan with a program called HiJack this and post the results here, or some other kind of trojan virus detector. But, let me warn you, do not try to repair it yourself with Hijack This, you must post the results here. Hope I helped.

Check out Ad Aware to take out hijacking attempts on your computer.

The trojan thing sounds a bit complicated. I might just leave it the way it is cause I know I won't be able to fix it with my limited computer skills. Thanks for the help.

The software literally does it all for you; all you need to do is open it up, click Check For Updates Now to make sure you have the latest definitions, then click Start\Next.

Yup, it's a virus. I had it a while ago. I think it's called bugbear or something like that. Try downloading Stinger. It solved the problem for me.
