Deleting version of windows!

Please help! i have windows 98 and 2000 on my computer and i can figure out how to delete the 98 version. i dont need it anymore. do i need to insert the old disk (if i can find it!)
please help any advice welcome, im really stuck!

They're on separate partitions/hard drives? If neither O/S references the other (say, in a dual-boot configuration), then it should be safe to format one of the drives.

That said, a lot of unpredictable problems can happen; I'd recommend against doing it, unless you badly need the space.

also upgrading is a bad idea unless you have no other options. the best way to put in a new os is to wipe the drive clean (aka format) and start fresh.

yer they're on separate parts of the hard-drive. whats o/s?? i think i might just delete everything from the windows 98 that i dont need, just hope i dont mess it up! i do really need the space!
