Love these. This was a great episode for me cause it was the first time I really felt like what Elena was saying got to Damon and I loved how she actually has the courage to say those things to him - it's one of the things I love about Elena; she always speaks her mind to Damon eventhough he is in her mind a threat.

Also that's the episode I first started shipping them so it's special!

Now when I rewatch the earlier episode I soo see the chemistry, but when I first watched it took me a few eps to start really shipping them; and then we had the roadtrip and the necklace scenes and I became obsessed

also, if anyone else had slapped Damon, they wouldn't have gotten away with it. But Elena's different

And the porch scene!

It made me an official DE shipper. First time Damon does something for someone else on the show, with no ulterior motives... and it's for Elena!

IMO, that's when the triangle officially started

I happen to be very fond of 'lost girls' not only for ian's dancing but also he has some great lines, like "oh no stefan, what have u done? Your the one who locked me in the basement and starved me so whoever I've sucked dry is on you buddy" and "what did u fed ex it from Rome?" and the whole scene with Damon and elena at the end "he's out looking for vikki" "don't look at me with those judgy little eyes that girls gonna thank me for what i did to her" "did u thank Katherine?" it's all so good

Lost Girls was the first great episode of the series

it was what initiated me into DE shipping too. But I wasn't really obsessed until Haunted

I mean if anybody else slapped Damon they'd probably be dead in a second, but he doesn't even threaten her or anything he let's her get away with slapping him, which clearly shows how much she affects him!

Up until that point Damon thought only of himself (and Katherine), but in that moment he offered to do it just cause it's what Elena wanted with no other reasoning or motive!
