Love her smile here when Damon tells her she is not the cheerleader type. I think she DOES take it as a compliment and is happy he understands her (as they were talking about how she FAILS at cheerleading)...

So true Asena! It was an awkward as hell conversation but ONLY Damon tried to make her comfortable even though they were practically strangers at the time. It also reminds me of the little smile she has when he drinks her shot first in Bloodlines as well.

and there is the kitchen scene of course. Where you see how much they understand one another. He is right on her being miserable as a cheerleader and she listens to him. And she sees his hurt and his need for caring and gives it to him and he is so surprised, for this is like the first time in a century and half (and maybe even longer as I don't think people understood him much and cared for feelings even when he was a human. his father certainly didn't)...

I am going episode by episode and through all scenes (and doing some a few times. long version, some part cut out etc.) so it is taking a bit longer. Finished Episode 3. Started taking Episode 4 apart but then started on the back-up thing and it pretty much took the 2nd day of the crash so... I have 87 anis now, I think I made 50-60 of them during crash?

Well I did devote a whole day and a half to it...

I have 2 handy programs which really make the job a lot easier than it sounds. One just cuts the vids and extracts them directly as gif images and the other one neatly resizes.

The hard part is cutting the episode into pieces really as it means I'm pretty much rewatching everything because I am trying to make Damon, Elena and DE gifs as well as have parts I can use if I ever get around to try my hand in making yt vids. I do skim through SE scenes mostly though, don't really want to use anything from them.

and the most time consuming part is uploading them...
