They do have discount theaters but quality is less than optimal.

Probably for those short on money, they are few and far in between in Southern California, they had one in Rossmoor near by and the screen was small and off to the side of the wall; it closed in 1996 but the inside, the concession area had black walls and carpet and totally illuminated by actual neon light.
