Stefan has always cared it just took a backseat for most of the season and when Elena told him about the kiss. It pretty much nailed him to the wall by the way he was looking and feeling. Actions speak ALOT louder then words. and in Stefan case that has happened when she told him that. He has never lost his humanity, he buried it for the sake of trying to protect Damon and going after Klaus.


And Elena saw that which is why she probably told him to begin with.

Yet that got me confused bc his "excuse" for being such a jerk was that he couldn't feel anymore and I think he's been way too awful for someone who still feels. But i'm glad he still does, in a way

Sometimes you have to see right through someone in order to see they still care and that exactly what has happened.

Not defending his actions by any means, but Stefan has been through just as much as he put Elena and Damon through I just don't think this is an easy situation to just have a full answer to anyway because really its flawed all around.

Yes I understand. I know that he did this all for Damon but sometimes I just wonder "what did he think when he said that to Elena" or "what could he feel when saying that/doing that" but yeah I guess we can never truly know, it's so complex! It's super frustrating

I think when its all said and Done Stefan is pretty much just going to be a loner... and he make sure it stays that way because of what he has done.

No but he also wouldnt want to get close to anyone because of who he became not that he wont be himself. He will be carrying around alot of gulit.
