 I always felt that Craig was the perfect Richard, haven't read the books but just by the epsiodes. He felt right for me __________________

Craig's Richard is a lot different from the books. Both in looks and personalty. So I can understand the difficulty for the books fans liking show Richard but since I read the books first it wasn't a problem.
I can't help reading the books without the actors coming to mind. __________________

When I read Richard's description I got the sense of Jared Padalecki (especially in these pictures) but Craig has really stepped up in S2. I feel as though Craig is is getting more of book!Richard in is performance this season as well he seem a little off the mark sometimes with his book counterpart in season 1. I hope he does carry on to read the books after the show finishes though - because I doubt it will last 12 (15) seasons.

Oh thats interesting that you pictured Jared as book!Richard but I can see it in a sense. The more built and a bit older plus Jared can really pull the "I know myself" and like you said in those pictures it works
 I liked S1 Richard though, the not 100% sure of himself and watching him grow. Then now he does understand himself and is able to do it. So I like how Craig has done Richard but I could have been singing a different tone, if I read the books  __________________
