Cara was in a deep sleep when Kahlan entered the bedroom with a small dagger in her hand and blood dripping down her arm from the wound she was trying to bandage one-handed. When she woke Cara her tears started to run, pain throbbing through her slender body and almost fainting in weakness. The only word she could utter was "Help," then she attempted to crawl toward the bed which was covered warmly. Cara jumped in a warm robe vowing to never let herself sleep through muffled hysteria again. Rushing headlong to save Kahlan, she grabbed a towel to soak the blood up, she got most of the stain out and found the fresh wound. Bandages were ripped painfully from Cara's nightgown tearing the sleeve for another strip of linen to wrap her arm. The wound seemed better after it had been treated by Zeddicus with herbal potions.
