You're right, it wasn't flawless, even though it was pretty damn good. I think the ending was written badly. It's one of my least favorite parts of the movie. It was too happy which didn't really fit with the movie.

Yes, we're talking about Abduction.

So, its not just me who thought the ending was weird? Why was he so understanding with his father? I wanted him to be mad. After everything they went through because of him, how could he forgive him just like that?

Ya, it was oddly done and it seemed like he was more in a hurry to go make out with Karen than deal with the dad issue. I guess I get why they left his father to be a mystery, because they were hoping for a sequal, but that didn't happen and now it's just a bad ending.

I never thought of it like that - maybe they were planning on that and the big story with the sequel could have been Nathan's father. I would have loved to find out more about him so it makes me want one even more now

Yes, me too! He had a past and I would have liked to know more about it. And to see Nathan and his father fight side by side!

Maybe we'll get the sequel. If they can make Grown Ups 2, then anything is possible.

It would have been nice to see them side by side fighting and getting to know each other. Nathan could have learned more about himself maybe.

The only reason I'm even gonna attempt Grown-ups 2 is Taylor

There had to be. You can tell they were hoping for another one because of the loose ends. God, it's making me even sadder because I want one so badly! There's this one friend of mine who loves this movie with me, and Taylor/Lily. It feels like she's the only one besides you I can find to talk about this movie I wish more people gave it a shot. I even started a thread for NK in the couples board

I haven't been able to talk about it with any real life friends, no one has seen it. It sucks because it's a good movie and everyone should see it at least once!
