Antihero is a great word to describe him, Belle. I actually love antiheroes. They tend to be among my favorite characters.

I'm still trying to get over that, too. Only 2 people.

My friend and I were talking about that on our road trip. We were specifically noting the contrast between people like Bellamy and Clarke, who have obviously killed FAR more people, and Murphy. Does it make a difference that the people Murphy killed were his own Sky People, and that he killed them out or rage and revenge rather than an act of war?

That's actually a really good question, and I'd be curious to see how Richard personally would answer it.

I think it depends on how you reason. We have a choice in how we act when it comes to handling our anger, whereas with "war", I think that is something they have all been thrown into, and those who have killed as an act of it, did so because they had to, to survive. But, couldn't the same be said for Murphy when he killed those two people? Yes - it was the result of anger and revenge, but in some sense he did it as a way of survival - there was really no absolute guarantee those two people wouldn't try something again in the future.

See, I liked him more with Emori. Especially those scenes when she was chipped and he just couldn't hurt her / clearly was torn.

Hmm, this is a TOUGH one, because I like watching Murphy interact with everyone! He's such a dynamic character, and such a unique character, that he really brings out interesting things in ALL the other characters.

My gut response is Bellamy, just because I love seeing Bob and Richard on screen together, and I think they really elevate each other in scenes. The dynamic between their two characters is sooooo unusual, what with having hung each other and all. But I think that Murphy has always had some sort of adoration and/or respect for Bellamy, and I think Bellamy is starting to develop that for Murphy, too (i.e. in 3x15).

But I'm also a Memori fan. Like Paula said, she brings out a different side of Murphy. Some of the most memorable moments of 3x14 to me were when he was unable to do what needed to be done because of the risk it would put her at. And of course their hug in 3x16. I think we've said it before that he's like the Grinch, but with her, he's becoming . . . less Grinch-like.

So I'm cheating and saying BOTH Bellamy and Emori for this one.

A bit left of centre here, but Jaha. Personally, I don't like Jaha and his individual scenes bore me, but when it's with Murphy, it's a whole different story - some of his best one-liners come out at Jaha.

But yeah, also Bellamy and of course Emori. She's taught him to love.
