Hmm, I think so. Or does it matter if one or both parents were Nightbloods? Though I’m remembering now that Luna fought her brother in the conclave so he must have had Nightblood as well. So it’s very possible that more siblings have Nightblood too, and that it could pass from parent to child? Or maybe that’s simply just the odds being in their favour and most times, it’s only one child that has Nightblood.

I would think that it is definitely genetic but whether it is as simple as binary Dominant - Recessive system or more complicated will determine whether all kids get it.

Or weather it's dose dependent, meaning if you have only one nightblood parent, you are somewhat radiation-proof but not as good as a kid of a purely nightblood lineage?

But the fact that Clarke is a nightblood by simply injecting herself means you either have it or you don't, I guess? As in all-or-nothing?

I wonder who the scientific advisor to this show is

Honestly, I feel like they were winging it with Clarke's transfusion/transformation into a Nightblood. You could be right about the dose dependent thing ... makes sense to me.
