Totally not surprised about Murphy. They were obviously setting up his storyline for this with the vision of hell. It's very in character for him.
So many characters have died and then were barely mentioned again, so it's nice to see them still raw about Monty. (But they don't bring up Harper?) I'm still salty that Clarke didn't talk about her best friend Wells after like 1x04. |

I’m really trying to care about this Commander storyline, but I just can’t.
Wow, Josephine manipulating Abby like that was really cruel. I’m gonna have a LOT of thoughts about Murphy to write up. |

How exactly do you download someone's mind show?
Of course Abby doesn't see through her act. __________________

Okay, I’m confused. What were Josephine and Murphy trying to accomplish by bringing her dad in there? I was kind of focused on Bellamy’s emotional state.

This is a jumbled mess, honestly. It's kinda funny how everybody is passionately hugging when they find out Clarke's dead. The body language is off. It's too enthusiastic. Like it kinda looked like Madi was excited when she threw herself into Bellamy's arms.
Gotta love the Darth Sidious commander storyline, though. Turn to the Dark Side, Madi!!! |

According to that quick cut promo, we'll get Clarke fighting Josie next week.

Actually a good promo this week! Yes!
Bellamy telling Madi and them hugging broke my heart. Bellamy in general broke my heart in this episode and was the Episode MVP for me, because he was the only person who actually seemed to care about Clarke being gone (until Madi found out). The ending with real Clarke seeing drawings of her mom, Lexa, Madi, Bellamy up on the Ark was pretty amazing. Oh, and the Dark Commander influenced Madi to banish Gaia. Works for me. This was EASILY my favorite episode of the season so far. I’m excited to rewatch this one. |

Have you guys ever heard of the narm trope? This episode was heavy on the narm. It was goofy as hell. This whole season has jumped right over the shark into corny town for me.
So is the plan that they're all gonna lie to Abby so she'll make everyone nightbloods? And then tell her afterwards that she just helped the people who murdered her daughter? And then....???? It's like things keep happening and characters take actions that don't make much sense and the only actor who's really convincing me is Richard, but that bit at the end with Russell was total nonsense. |

Was I imaging the whispers in that end scene with Clarke?

Yeah, I think there were whispers, Kate.
This stuff with the anomaly or whatever is OUT THERE. But Diyoza’s along for that storyline, so I’ll go along for it, too. Absolutely gorgeous setting for them tonight. Bellamy Blake . . . you still own my soul. I’d really love more scenes between him and Madi, especially now. |

Those trees or whatever they were in reminds me of the glowing forest from early S1.
