I think it’s probably more than that. I think she kind of . . . outgrew him? If that makes sense. She didn’t need him so much anymore.

I think that was the general gist of what happened/the starting point. I can only assume frustration and resentment grew little by little; it's not very inspiring to be with someone who's consistently negative and never aims higher than the bare minimum or where they started. When you're growing yourself, it can be even more discouraging and frustrating.

But do you mean, how would we rank his importance in terms of the entire show? I think 5 too, after clarke, bellamy, octavia, raven.

i think he is more important at this point than kane or abby. i dont think anyone else is really a contender. maybe monty but he seems more in the background to me than murphy does.
