I definately understood why she needed the time. I hate it when TV shows rush into things and the slow burn was good for them. Just sad that it was over when it had just begun.

 You're right. Lexa's death came so unexpected. First they had this beautiful love scene and a few moments later everything was over. That was really hard for all the fans who have liked them.  __________________

It's the story of a lot of LGBT people sadly. We always die.
 Thanks to Jason using the trope, we have lesbians living now on TV shows. Writers were so spooked by the movement that they promised to do better.__________________
