Season 3 featured no delinquents.

There were Sky People, there were Grounders, but for a show called “The 100” they were weirdly absent. The only delinquents we met were the ones we already know by name, but there were no extras this season. In the first two seasons, there were lots of extras to play the delinquents.

In Season 1 they were all around the Dropship - there wasn’t a single episode without them. In Season 2, they were in Mount Weather, in the dormitory. In Season 3, they were … Nowhere. It’s strange. And I find it sad. It’s part of the reason I think Season 3 felt so off-kiltered at times. It got better in 3B when the band got back together, but the writers never quite managed to fill the hole where they used to be, you know?

Anyone have thoughts on this? I’m feeling a little nostalgic for Season ½ delinquent babies.

Do you guys agree with this? I kind of do, the dynamics of the show always feels a little off when it steers too much away from the core team even if the separation makes sense (most) of the time. But at the same time, it was weird not seeing any of the other 100 (there's probably like 30 others left though, at this point

) even in the background. Since Season 4 is getting "back to basics", hopefully we will see them again.

I hadn't thought about that, but . . . yeah, I think it definitely makes a difference. No matter what, in the first two seasons, there was this sense of . . . cohesion, I guess you could say. Because there was a group. And even though the group was struggling at times and not always agreeing or getting along, when it mattered, the group would pull together and fight to survive. Without that group, even just the nameless extras . . . it does give the show a different vibe, and that cohesion can feel off-kilter, or just absent completely.
