His happiness used to be tied to hers, which in hindsight was not really healthy. So, I'm glad that part has changed and he has learned to put his own happiness/well being first. As much as I still love the Blakes.

I hope so too, it won't go back to how it was (and neither should it) but I do want them to have a better relationship by the time the series finale rolls around.
