That's one of those little moments we usually forget about. But you can head cannon it with thinking about how she wanted him pardoned because she needs him to help her keep the remaining members of The 100 alive.

I like how optimistic that article writer is, it is hard to keep the faith when the show runner himself seems to try hard to demotivate fans but I do still have hope/faith in them.

True, but I also think that she already cared about him at that point and was happy for him on a personal level too.

Sarah, he’s good; almost 8 months, and fiiiinally sleeping well at night! Hooray! He had to be moved to his own room because he just wanted me all night. Little mama’s boy, I swear.
