I know the feeling, we live in the north of France (the up part lol) and it's supposed to always be the coldest part but it's been the hottest part of France for days now...and the south is the part where it's better!

I'm in Portugal (near Lisbon).

How far away are you from Paris? Because I'm not so great with rhe map of France, North for me is Paris and Nice is South. But yea, it's only June and the temperatures are always so messed up, you can tell that our planet is changing a lot.

I'm from the North, if you take Paris and the extremity on the west and cut in the middle, it's where I am lol! It's close to Rennes
You've had the fires it was so scary when we watched the new the other day with my bf I can't complain on the weather where yours is way worst!

Aww okay, I just checked the map and it's a lot further from Paris than what I expected. But you definitely wouldn't expect the temperatures to be higher up there, especially compared to the South (at least from my experience in Paris, I thought the mornings and the nights were super cold and I didn't even visit during Winter ).

And yea, we did. We always have a lot of fires during this time of the year but it was never something this awful and with so many victims, it was really heartbreaking.

Yeah, we're usually cold weather we have like 10 days of crazy per year where we go on the extreme temperature.
I live like 3/4 hours away from Paris (by car).

Yea, it was never like this. And a big number of victims died inside of their cars in a road, while trying to escape the fire, it's absolutely awful. Now the fire is down but I think everybody is on high alert because it's still not safe to say that it wouldn't start again.

We usually have warm weather and then a few days where it gets too much even for us. :') And damn, in 3/4 hours I would be all the way up North or South here, France is too damn big. I can't even imagine how many hours it would take you to go to Nice.

Nice is on the opposite of where I live but it's just like 15hours or so by car and probably 10 by train...it's not that far. My bf and I usually go on vacation in the south of France, either around Marseille (12/13 hours) or Biarritz (10hours) it's sunny there and we get to tan and have better days than in the north. This year, we're going closer to my aunt mobil home in Vendée, bc it's cheaper and closer

Yeah, the people who burnt alive, that was so I was so in shock!

Oh my, that's so far away to me, I'm too used to my much smaller country. Do you guys usually drive there and do it all in one day?

Yea, it was so awful. This was apparently caused by natural causes (or at least that's what it's been claimed to far), but a lot of things went wrong here.

Yeah we do it by car, but it's getting faster to get there since they do high speed road now. When I was younger, it usually took us around 20 hours to get there.
I've been used to do this road for so long, i don't find it long I guess when you're here it's not that long lol! plus it's for a good cause, it's for vacation lol!

Yea, it was, and they found the tree that was hit with the lightning too. Honestly it's crazy how a simple thunderstorm can cause so much damage.

Oh God, 20 hours?! I can't even imagine. If it was me I would have to have a break and sleep in a hotel or something and I would still be too tired.

you get used to it after doing it for years, we change drivers a few times so we can rest but now that this is less than 15 hours, it's like one driver change after lunch and bam here we are

The most I had to drive was 4 hours to my parents hometown, and we did like one or two breaks in the middle and by the end of it I was just done.

no not daily klsjdfkljdsfs IM NOT THAT PSYCHOTIC but anytime i left for home on weekends on had to go back to school
