"I'm very protective of our friendship," Lovato, 16, says,
adding that if the girls were ever interested in the same guy,
"I think I'd be like, 'You can have him, because I don't want to ruin our friendship.'
Then she'd be like, 'No, you can have him,' and then we'd end up not liking him."

"Demi has a very strong voice. At the age of 14, she could belt Christina Aguilera songs.
She writes music, she plays guitar and piano.
When someone has that much talent, it intimidates people.
Plus she's gorgeous!

Demi revealed that Selena is rubbing off on her too:
“Right now I have a big bag [that I carry around],
but sometimes I don’t carry it because I hate having the weight.

Why I love Demi and Selena, as individuals they are every thing that someone would want in a role model and inspiration, being true to themselves and never letting the fame go to their heads. The support they have for each other is just amazing, 10 years as best friend’s shows a lot, these two are basically family.
Demi and Selena are just legendary, the childhood friends, the growing up together, the being there through thick and thin and the relationship that’s always getting stronger. They are everything that best friends should be. For every time they mention each other they smile, the fact that they are so proud of each others achievements. It makes me happy to think, through everything that they go through and all the pressure that is forced upon them, they always come out stronger proving every one wrong, in which they are best friends and nothing will ever change that. For me Demi and Selena are simply EPIC. They've been best friends for 10 years and that proves just everything they've been through together. First starring in Barney, when Demi was bullied, working together in a film and becoming the big stars they are now. They are the best example of a true friendship and they give a real meaning to the words best friends, because they know they can always count on each other no matter what.
