I love how she took care of Rachel. Monica was independent and strong and knew how to deal with issues in the real world not relying on anybody so Rachel was in safe hands

Finished the pilot a while ago and I really love how easily Monica and Rachel fell back into their friendship. Rachel just invited herself to stay with Monica and Monica was okay with it. She was so supportive of Rachel and gave her a home when she had nowhere else to go. And I love their little hug toward the end, "welcome to the real word, it sucks but you're gonna love it." Rachel definitely found her way because of Monica, more so than the other characters though they played their part too.

That is very true, I'm not sure where Rachel would have ended up if it weren't for Monica at the beginning

It's true. Monica was a rock to Rachel when she was vulnerable and upset after leaving Barry and also she needed somebody to be realistic with having to deal with life in the real world not having to rely on her credit cards and what not so Monica was the perfect friend for her

Aww yeah, these two scenes were really sweet moments between Rachel & Monica! The "end of an era" fitted really well with them not living together anymore!

^Aww, it really was! Even though Monica was of course happy to move in with Chandler, it was really tough for her and Rachel and their scene at the end was really sweet

I love their hug at the end after their fight and when they said how much they actually loved being roommate

That episode always makes me laugh and cry. It really was the end of an era. I remember being really sad about Rachel moving out even though it was a good thing for Monica and Chandler. It was a bittersweet moment which it should've been: the show did really well with that whole storyline.

I still cry when she left the apartment. Just wasn't going to be the same but I'm happy she did leave because we got to see her live with Phoebe then Joey. It was the perfect time for her to move out.
I love how they fought in that episode but they couldn't hide their tears and love for each other
