I think they were trying to set Phoebe up with a normal guy. Ick. I'd rather them set her up with Joey, and, *God* how I never wanted that to happen. David was perfect for her, his geekiness highlighted her confidence perfectly. In fact, all the differences were just like salt and vinegar- different, yet complimented each other perfectly.

Just checking in to say that I loved Phoebe and David too and while I wasn't sad that she married Mike, I'll always wish it was David.

I wish I could be that mature. I hated Mike and loved David. David and Pheebs were the perfect match, goddammit. I really hope that it was because of scheduling conflicts, and not the writer's choice. Because David was too awesome to have been *written off*.

I agree, Cris. Take their first "I love you's" for example. There was so little emotion behind it. Compare that to the moment where David and Pheebs say goodbye when David had to leave for Minsk - that moved me.

She really got upset when David left.. when Mike and her broke up, she was kind of upset but than she just made jokes about it. It was sooo forced!
