I think (touch wood) that V will get booked for a second season. I just saw episode 5 and it really picks up the pace. It was fantastic, and so are the special effects.

If it doesn't do well it will just reflect badly on the writers and Liz can get back to her movie career. I'm not from the UK but this looks promising:

The first episode drew 292k (1.6%) in the 10pm hour on SyFy, which rebranded from the Sci Fi Channel the same day. A further 33k (0.3%) watched on timeshift. The second episode, which aired immediately afterwards at 11pm, pulled in 184k (1.8%) and 34k (0.7%) on timeshift.
