^ Oh, alright, I'll move that over.

Um... both? I don't really pay attention to if they're YA or A, tho I have the maturity level of an 80 year old (mostly), so YA might be too...wishy-washy for me.

I've looked up VA, but the plot just didn't seem to interest me. I might have to give it another shot.

DO give VA another shot.. Because the summary may not seem like much, but its very good.

BUT, i'll try to answer your question here..
if you haven't read Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead, i would suggest that... it is pretty much has all your criteria.

Do you prefer YA or Adult books?

I thought for sure you'd have told them to read the Fever Series, there is a vampire in it after all :lmao:
Oh well , you got me addiccted to it. I guess that's enough for now.

Stay to the Lights 12-16-2009 12:45 PM

I wouldn't exactly call him a vampire :lmao:

But, i have reccommended the books to them ;)

Um... I'm not sure if this is the place to ask this, but I'm wanting to read another Vampire book, or series, but I'm hard to please. There are certain criteria I have, but I can't seem to find anything with it.

- The main female must not be a Bella Swan type.
- The main male must not be an Edward Cullen type.
- The third main character must not be a friend pining type
- It has to be dark, with violence, lust, mystery, adventure etc.
- The darker and lustier, the better.
- A single novel is fine, but sequels are also fine.
- Other supernatural elements are awesome.
- The main Vamp would be awesome if he (or she, doesn't matter) was dangerous; not Edward Cullen dangerous 'I could kill you but I don't want to', but dangerous, as 'I could kill you and if I do or dont you wont know until it's too late' kinda thing... get?
- Gotta have romance. I'm huge on my ships. (Tho as the case has been with Twilight , VD (and HP) the main pairings just happen to be my least favourite.)

Anyone know of anything that fits this?

Danity Vampyro, your's sound like something I'd be interested in...

Well, DingBat, you would love it, i tell you, it is so good. The first story is about a female vampire that falls in love with a detective who is working on a case that turns out that a rogue vampire who the female lead vampire thought was her friend, is responsible for killing this woman and when the guy at first thinks that its her, he unfornately discovers that its this other vampire and he gets attacked and the female lead has to turn him cuz she can't bear the thought of living without him cuz she's been alone for so long cuz she is so in love with him. And the one i'm reading now is somewhat got that Twilight meets Moonlight feel too it, it's about this vampire, Julian, who was somewhat responsible for a hit that took place years ago on this little girl who's now a grown woman who's name is Sienna and her parents. N-e-hew, her parents got killed, but he saved her and watched her from afar, he was like her guardian angel. Well, she's all grown up now and her life is still in danger cuz she knows of their existence and her grandparents knew also of the vampires too(Kinda Sounds Like VD in this too). So at her grandmother's funeral, he rescues her from the other vamps and takes her into hiding, once she finds out who he is, but more importantly WHAT he is, and what really happened too her and her family all those years ago, she finds herself falling for him and vice-versa. So after Julian's grandfather pretty much gives him an ultimatum, either kill this girl or make her one of us, that's his only two choices. If he doesn't turn her, then they will kill her and him too cuz he is a sorry little punk who don't know how to take care of business and do what needs too be done, so his granddad says. So after making mad passionate love twice, he proposes too her too keep her alive, but she is upset by the thought of marrying him cuz she thinks that he doesn't love her, but i think that he does, he just hasn't said it yet. So now she has left the hiding place and he is frantically trying too find her before his grandfather and the other vampires find her and have their way with her. I'm not finish with it yet, but when i do i'll tell ya the rest, Okay???...Deuces!........................' D.V.

This thread hasn't been around for a while.

Currently I'm reading Vampire Kisses. I read it back in middle school and now I'm revisiting it and hopefully will get through the entire series this time.

royalღcaliber 09-02-2017 09:06 AM

I don't remember the last vampire book I read

fall into your smile 09-02-2017 01:29 PM

Which means it's been forever since you read one.

royalღcaliber 09-04-2017 08:10 AM

I honestly feel like it might have been the Twilight series..? I'll have to go through my Goodreads list to be sure.

fall into your smile 09-04-2017 04:30 PM

It could have been.

royalღcaliber 09-05-2017 02:11 PM

So I checked Goodreads, and I forgot I started to read the Marked series (I think that was vampires or had vampires in it..can't remember now, I only read the first book and got half way through the second before I gave up on it).
