I think I need s2 to finish before I decide. But hands down, my fav scene in s2 is ILY.

eta: I miss the easy going scenes. I hope we get that back someday.

me too, this season it's been more about vampires (curses, moonstone, originals) and less about the dairies (the stories a teenage girl in love with a vamp writes)

Your comment about Elena saying "please" to Damon reminds me of a thought I just had.
Even though Elena is friends with Damon, they have this attraction,chemistry with each other and she knows he will protect her, but I notice that she is still unsure of him, his strength and his actions. She knows Damon would not hurt her but she doesn't treat him like a whipped puppy even though she probably knows he like/love her. She coerces him to do the right thing but she doesn't truly know if he will.
With Stefan she has that boy whipped. She is totally comfortable with him, he basically does what she says and she is totally sure of him. If he tried to pull a move where he forcefully tries to stop a stupid move on her part like Damon does I don't think it would come off as forceful, sexy and strong as it does with Damon.
It would probably be Stefan reasoning with her,they come to an agreement and she still end up doing what she wants. LOL

Damon ia always like "No, don't even think about it." Elena listens to him.
I love a forceful, close, sexual chemistry scane between Damon and Elena.Their relationship gives off such sparks and tension that it is a joy to see. That is the essence of Delena. It's not blah. You shouldn't be TOTALLY comfortable/sure of your man. LOL
