We think everyone needs positivity these days so here it goes:
About your latest post about being fearless about Elena fooling Damon, I think I might agree with you on this one. I mean if you think about it it would be like Elena falling in love with Damon all over again in the end, regarding onto what happened when Damon did this. Exactly. If we’re gonna get perfect parallels, this HAS to happen. Elena has to be truly self-serving at first, only to slowly start feeling, slowly find her humanity because of Damon. But if the writers want her to find her humanity she has to truly lose it in the first place- she can’t be all in love with Damon right now. We shouldn’t worry at all. One of my favorite parts of Delena’s story was Damon falling for Elena. How he used to feel nothing, to care only about his revenge (and Katherine)-like Elena caring about her revenge now (and Jeremy….ironically, actually she thinks about Katherine too)- and then Elena slowly showed him what it meant to care, what it meant to be human again.
