i'm with Jen-too much drama makes my head hurt. I'm actually a fluff whore. my favorite episodes of a tv show are always the ones where everyone takes a deep breath and a chill pill. watching other people be high stressed and nervous, makes ME high stressed and nervous.

The only downside of season 1 was that Tyler had like 10 seconds of screen time.

Season 1 - so much potential! It was better paced and the plotholes were small.

I always wondered why they dropped Damon's "magic" with the crow and the fog.

I think they dropped it because a lot of people thought it was cheesy and stupid. I liked it.

That, and because they thought it was "too supernatural." But then they made their witches god-like and impossible, which I think is way worse than a little fog.

Good point.

I thought it added a little more interest to the difference between vampires who fed on humans and those that didn't. Plus it would have been interesting if some vampires had additional supernatural abilities...

Agreed. I thought they brought in the all powerful Originals too soon. They should have built it up different types of vampires.
