Damon still wants to kill Katherine though Stefan's iffy (though he agrees eventually). Lucy is aware Bonnie is a witch. Jeremy finds Katherine and tells her that Damon and Stefan want to meet her at the lake. Anyway, Elena gets to the party, wants to know what's happening. Jeremy and Bonnie tell her. She's not pleased. Meanwhile, Caroline's at the party, looking all sad at Matt. She gets confronted by Katherine who demands to know what they are up. Caroline tells her they want to kill her. Katherine drags her to the room where she claims that Bonnie has the moonstone. Bonnie's not around. Then Caroline's all happy and is like "I did it! I got you in the room." So Stefan confronts her with "Hi, Katherine." and Caro's all "Bye, Katherine" on her. Katherine's all 'You think you can kill me?' and Stefan goes "no." From behind, Damon comes up and he says "But he can." He shoots her in the back. However, Elena feels it and she starts bleeding in the back.

So Katherine's witch friend is behind all this. There's a fight sequence but Jeremy stops it before Katherine can get hurt more. She continues to demand for the moonstone. Stefan asks what's in it for her. There's no more werewolf.

Meanwhile, Matt is wasted and starts going crazy everywhere. Tyler tries to calm him down. Matt starts fighting him. Caroline hears this and interrupts and stops Matt in time. However, the other girl in their group has been compelled too. She says that if Matt failed, she'd get Tyler to kill her. She stabs Tyler and he tosses her, thus killing her. Caroline checks that she's dead, asks Tyler what's wrong. Tyler looks up and we see his eyes have changed. The curse lives on.
