I don't get why he wasn't on vervain. He worked for the armory and also fought vamps. He knows this stuff. Why wouldn't he be ingesting vervain on a regular basis?!

That too, nothing of this makes sense, it's like he never had to deal with vampires , I mean, even Matt was smarter and more ready to deal with Damon! There is a lot that confuses me right now, but this above all, bc either they're lame and dumb AF and they really did this, or there is something big coming and this is all just smoke and mirrors

^I absolutely agree.
I have no idea why Tyler acted (or NOT acted) the way he did. He basically let Damon kill him without even trying to fight back.
This is why I still think there might be more to his death and he will somehow return.
At least this is my wishful thinking...

And if we don't get to see Caroline's reaction...
Or if she is just "oh, how sad, Tyler died. Now let's go to a carnival", I will be so mad.
The writers better not mess this up!!!

Sadly I don't think this is far off from how it will go down. The writers usually have tunnel vision when it comes to ships. The fact that Tyler and Caroline were a big part of each other's life and meant the world to each other is not something the writers want to acknowledge anymore. Although Stefan did get to be upset when he thought Elena was gone forever but that was probably a different matter in the writers eyes since it was Elena.

Yeah, I think you're right. The writers probably won't even bother to show us Caroline's reaction. Well, not showing her reaction would still be better than an inappropriate Caroline reaction, not showing enough grief etc. Because this would be completely OOC for her. I mean Tyler was her first real love and even after their breakup they somehow managed to stay friends, at least kind of friends.

Tyler deserved better!! I was so disappointed when I found out that he got killed off in the most senseless way!

I can only hope they because they seem to be exploring the afterlife they either show Tyler at peace or they bring him back from hell and he gets a second chance at life because his character deserved better than the garbage pile they gave him.

^ I agree, I think it's the second one, they're exploring the hell and who went there to bring him back, it's not the first time they did it, just like the phoenix stone At least I hope, Tyler deserves his happy ending too

I have a feeling we'll at least be seeing Damon "haunted" by Tyler for what he did. That whole speech, while cringe worthy, was also not subtle at all.
