it makes sense he is the sheriff but he doesnt need to be in the show as much. more like an appearance here and there. and if they are going to bring him in then he needs to be more accepting of what is going on and actually help, not just to be annoying.

I think that was always the issue though He spent all seasons of TVD being that guy.
