Which reminds me, did Enzo not know about the hunter's curse? How if you kill a hunter, you're cursed until the next hunter kills a vampire? Maybe he didn't know Jeremy was a hunter - Jeremy should have used that to his advantage and said you don't want to kill me because you'll be cursed for a long time. They haven't been showing off his abilities this season. __________________

Jeremy being a hunter was just a plot point for Elena. Now that it's over, the writers have no use for him.
