Vampire Diaries ReRead Vol. One: First up...The Awakening
  So kind of like an episode rewatch, instead we're rereading the books. This week is CHAPTER ONE to FOUR. Reread and discuss here. Cool idea
 But that quote isn't in the first four chapters, is it? Because I just read that book and I don't remember it...To be honest, I find Elena incredibly annoying. I sincerely hope that she won't be this self-centered in the series. Anybody else have this feeling? __________________

In the first book, she was definitely annoying
 And i don't remember that quote either, but then its been awhile since i read the books. |

it's from Damon..in the beginning, he's watching her walk out side, in crow form.
 he was looking at her like a Boy would  __________________

Aww I dont have time to do a reread right now but I recently read the books so I remember enough
I find Elena quite self centered too, and its impressive how this manages to stick with her throughout the series Im glad the show is apparently going in a different direction __________________

I never could warm to Elena in the books, even after everything she's still all about herself. I hope the tv series changes that or else we'll have another Mary Sue on our hands and lord knows we've got enough of those in vampire related shows/movies.
