I'm so conflicted. I will always have faith because their relationship was/is so beautiful, but you're all so right - the writers force DE so hard on every aspect of the show, it would be weird if all of a sudden Elena just jumped back to Stefan. When SE were together, there were still hints of DE. But now that DE are together, there are very little romantic hints towards SE, if any at all It really sucks.

They are perfection. Of course, I typically go for the couples that usually don't end up together. And I will hope for these two until the bitter end. But 6 years into the show, it's getting harder to imagine. A lot of what the show alludes to now is SE as the couple "that could have been in a non-supernatural world". Which is a hard pill to swallow, but a beautiful thing to ponder, nonetheless.

Agreed. It's something beautiful to think about it. But ugh, it's depressing too

Honestly y they will happen again the writers want us to THINK they wont because of what happens..

I like to think that everything happens for a reason... I mean I am not going to be all optmisitic when it comes to the writers but I also know I have shipped many couples who I thought was passed the point of no return and guess what I turned out to be very wrong.

It won't be til the last episode.

JP would just make a few retcons to go back to SE easily.

I will be shocked if Stefan is ever able to move on.

If they truly wanted Stefan to move on and I am saying this based on what I know from the two seasons then they would have two seasons ago they dont want him to

This is true.

SC is gonna be one sided.

Maybe on any other show he would eventually return her feelings but this is TVD.

Things won't work like that.
