But yea, I completely agree. He's not just evil, he has layers and we keep seeing little moments where we see humanity in him, where we see him care.

I think we will be seeing the human side of Damon sneak out when he is around Elena. She is the only woman who can get those human responses from him.

I think he also acts different sometimes when he's w/ Stefan. I really like their brotherly relationship. In the end, Stefan is all he has at the moment.

i dont know, i wouldnt say she brings out humanity in him, unless you count humanity as revenge and spite

well no, not in the show so far i mean..we havent really seen any scenes of damon being particualrly humane. not that im complaining. but i guess that is just something more so you want to see in coming eps? unless you could give me an example of ian being really humane around elena so far, where he has not had some alterior motive...

Well, there was the scene where he watched her while she slept.

Well Damon is all about ulterior motive, that's who he is.

I think the conversation he had w/ her in the kitchen was pretty interesting especially him even caring enough to tell Elena she should quit cheer leading if she isn't enjoying it anymore. He wouldn't be giving advice on something random like that if didn't somewhat care, right? I mean how does Elena not cheer leading help his endgame? It doesn't do much b\c just b\c Elena doesn't cheerlead doesn't mean it drives b\w her and Stefan, especially since Elena is supportive of Stefan.

I don't think Damon's the type to think about food. he's more of the type to say "HEY..I'M HUNGRY GRRR" and Jumps.
