I actually think it wouldn't have many any sense at all if Damon was her mentor. I don't think he has the capacity to truly care for anyone outside of Elena, at least not right now.
 He's still too lost in Damon-world and all his angst and misery.  I love that it's Stefan because they are soo alike in their innate care of people, and yet so different in their personalities: light and bubbly, broody and "serious".  __________________

Yeah, I agree. It just would not have made sense for Damon to help Caroline, he just does not care for anyone and he would not help anyone out. Except Elena. Don't get me wrong I ship DE and SC, but DC just had so much chemistry but I do not think I really ship them. Because after all the abuse Damon did to Caroline... But now she is a vampire maybe he could make up for what he did do her. I am weird when it comes to DC, not sure if it makes any sense
I like them together but not when he is abusing her.I love that too about them, they are different and yet alike in some ways  They could be so good together. She brings out a fun side of him and makes him smile and laugh. And I think he is the guy who can keep her calm when she is not sure what she is doing and freaking out.__________________

I think...in the future, Id like to see a somewhat humourous friendship develop between DC. But FAR in the future
Stefan definitely makes more sense to be her mentor. Now that Caroline remembers everything Damon did to her, then why would she want to spend any time with him? SC are just precious __________________

Hey guys. Totally random, but I think SC are crazy addictive...
I've rewatched their scenes in the past 2 episodes more times than you can count on your fingers...  I'm not shipping this out of convinience or anything. I really do ADORE these 2 on screen together. It's insane. I've never witnessed something that just WORKED as well as these 2 did right off the bat __________________

Yea that scene was made of win. 2x02 had powerful emotion in the scene 2x03 really displayed their more natural, at ease sides

 I loved the power in 2x02 and the chemistry But 2x03 grabbed me more simply because that was a side of Stefan we VERY rarely see. And Caroline brought it out of him so easily!__________________

Once I saw the bathroom scene, I went "    " ~ the confused icon being because I never thought I'd ship these two and then when 2x03 came around, I was SO hooked. I'm loving them so much more than I ever thought I would, it's unbelievable  I really hope they happen  For some reason, it just feels so natural that they'd enjoy each other's company. It's like they've been like this for years, I love it __________________

Nat, it was so unexpected, you know? I really love how they both seem to relax around each other. Stefan is more lose, more fun, and Caroline seems more confident and calmer and they're just so fun together I love how amused he was by her and I love her teasing him about being too serious Also, I'm taking the "I'll wait" as foreshadowing. That, combined with the "Never gonna happen" line in the pilot, has to be indication that something will happen  __________________
