At least mentioning them! I mean, it's a supernatural school, they can't teach about vampires without talking about The Originals.

I know right plus from Hope it sounded like when they visited Mystic Falls and the school in 5x12 that Stefan's journals are available

Yeah they're part of history PLUS related to the main character of the show, they have to mention them a lot
