Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customizing message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or color suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colors will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colors will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customized look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customized will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customization process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Rae or Mel a PM or ask the Team on the message board customization thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customized.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colors get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

I would think you would have Elena, Stefan, Damon, Caroline, Bonnie, Matt, Tyler, and Jeremy (maybe Alaric too) since they're the main cast/regulars. Here's the S6 cast photos if that helps (I wouldn't put Enzo in the banner) x.

Though I'm more partial to their S4 cast photos x.

As for colors...something lighter would definitely be easier on the eyes, in my opinion. Maybe a lighter shade of purple?

yeah i agree with kara with the color scheme.

i would leave tyler, matt and enzo out, as they really dont have big storylines.

Elena, Stefan, Damon, Bonnie and Caroline are the main five must for me... if I add more it'd be Matt, Tyler and Jeremy since they have been on every season....

Alaric is a no, Enzo is a no.
Alaric was in a lot though so flip a coin to decide that one.

I also agree with Kara with the color scheme.

I looked at some of the boards on and thought that some of these might work:

Just a few purple ones I thought looked nice: Smallville, Skins, One Tree Hill, and Castle.


Just pretty ones I think could work too: Summerland, Dawson's Creek, and Mark Salling.

Personally I really love the color scheme on the Castle board and thing that might work well here too.

Alternatively maybe you would like to keep similar shades to what you have now, just with it changed so that the darker colours are used on the bars and the lighter colours for the boards to make it easier on the eyes?

I like your color suggestions. However, I'm okay with simply a lighter shade of our current color too.

I think that the board picture or banner (I'm not sure what it is called in this case) should include all of the cast regulars from the last several seasons including Alaric and Enzo. I don't want to see characters eliminated because they are not fan favorites.

I don't think Enzo should be included (not because he's not a fan favorite) because he's not a very big part of the show. When I think TVD he isn't one of the characters I think about. He's only been on for 2 seasons and a regular for one. I could understand Alaric because he's been on much longer and has ties to a bunch of characters on the show, but I don't see the point in Enzo.

The ones you could argue to include would be Alaric and Katherine I think. Enzo I don't think should be even considered.

The Castle color scheme is very good, maybe just a bit darker than that if it's possible to keep a "darker" atmosphere for vampires

Or, like Ann said, a lighter version of the current colour, I must admit I love it very much right now, maybe just a bit lighter

I agree These are a must bc they're the historical cast; I'll add Alaric too, if it's possible. I know many of you don't like him, but I think he should be a part of the banner too

Yay, lighter color time? I mean, I got used to it while I was a mod here but I think a lighter color would be so nice. Also, maybe not purple? IDK, when I think of TVD I don't think purple\pink. It would be nice if the graphic could fit Ian, Nina, Paul, Candice, Kat, Matt, Jeremy and Tyler - core since the beginning. Alaric would be a plus since he "has" been there from the beginning too, been in every season and is a series regular again so that would make sense. I think Ian, Nina and Paul could still be the most prominently featured though.

The Season 3, 5 and 6 photoshoots are pretty good.

I agree with this, the trio should be still more prominently than the others
