You are right i mean it would be really funny if they kill them that fast ,especially because all that story how powerful they are.

I think Elijah needs to be there against Klaus to even out the balance. No way in hell, I'm going to believe that the Salvatores can just conveniently defeat Klaus in S3 (provided Klaus survives) on their own.

On the other hand, if Klaus dies, I don't think I would mind it of they made Elijah the "big bad". I like him just the way he is at the moment; a compassionate vampire who will do whatever it takes, but if it turns out he's just manipulating the whole bunch, fine by me.

Absolutely, I think they need both for the balance of power, because if Stefan and Damon and co can take Klaus down just like that... that would be extremely disappointing. And I've become terribly attached to Elijah (and I ALWAYS get attached to guest stars and they ALWAYS get killed off

) so I want him to stay around forever

He should be mayor of Mystic Falls or something
