Id cry too. They've been building up this epic rivalry between him and Klaus, it would be the WORST thing ever if us fans (and Elijah too heh) didn't get some sort of pay off for that. He cant die. He just cant, he's too freaking awesome!

I think the writers should automatically know that if they're introducing a charcter who is badass, he or she is going to be loved and therefore not allowed to die.
I've become attached to the idea of Elijah/Damon, Elijah/Alaric, Elijah/Elena, Elijah/Katherine etc etc that I don't want to see those relationships end. __________________

hahaha about the writers! They really should! the thing is, I think they REALLY enjoy the badass characters too. Like Katherine, they dont wanna kill cause she's too interesting and they love playing with her too much. I'm really hoping they're beginning to feel the same about Elijah cause seriously this man is the ultimate BAMF! And he has just great chemistry with everyone he's interacted with so far..Totally gels with the cast. It'd be a crime to kill this guy off!
I too have become attached to Elijah/Damon and Elijah/Katherine (to just name a few) and really wanna see more between them as well as him and other characters he hast even interacted with yet. I wonder what his thoughts on Caroline would be haha  __________________

yeah i mean Elijah doesn't have to be an EVERY episode but knowing that he's still alive and could come back at any moment would be enough for me

It must be a lot of fun writing Elijah, too. The writers shouldn't dig themselves into a hole by killing him off. The best option is to let him leave and then come back if there's already too many characters for them to deal with.
