^ I hope so too. But I also wouldn't mind a bittersweet sort of an ending... it's hard to explain but I don't need everything to end in a perfectly perfect way.

Right now I really want a happy ending. When I think of how many years Stefan has lived and how many years he's been happy, and do some math, it will be less than 1% of happiness. He's done some awful things when he was a Ripper but he's a blood addict. And addiction is a disease, and if he didn't have it, he would have had a different life. I believe he deserves a fair chance at happiness.

But if it ends tragically, then I'll try to remember that quote of Stefan's of life not being about the final moments but the moments that led up them and hope there was at least some happiness towards the end. It will be heartbreaking but I'm making sure that I'm prepared for a tragedy and not overconfident in a happily ever after.

Good point. If Stefan had saved Elena first in 3x22 instead of Matt I doubt anybody would be going around saying he was a bad person, because she was his girlfriend. Saving the person you love most is a pretty normal thing to do. I may not ship SE but the one thing that I respected about them was how he put her choice first.

I also believe that if there's any vampire that deserves an happy ending, it is Stefan.

The SE/Matt thing was a little strange to me, I admit. Still, I also liked how Stefan was able to listen to Elena and respected her choice. But it's also sad that this situation resulted in him losing Elena to his brother... :/

New thread soon, do we have any title suggestions? I also think it would be good to finally put "Engaged" where it should be.

I'm leaning towards the middle one because of all those kisses The best part of the proposal was all the kissing. But I really would like to use the last one too so maybe the next thread. But then again the last one is explaining their journey now. Hmm. Too hard to choose
