Exactly. The naysayers can talk about prom being all Jon/Lea but when it's on film it will always be Jesse/Rachel. Rachel was smiling and laughing and having so much fun with Jesse. I just love that with Jesse, Rachel is able to fully be who she is. And all the things that he says to her just kill me.

You know, this really bugs me. I know Jon and Lea were having fun shooting it and Lea said it's always been her dream to go to prom with Jonathan. So she was definitely loving every moment of it.

But to discredit JR at prom to "oh it's just Jon and Lea" bothers me. Regardless of if the two of them knew they were being shot at that moment and acting "in character", the fact that it's in the show and on our screens in the final cut means that those shots ARE Jesse and Rachel. JESSE was making RACHEL happy at prom. Nothing Jonathan making Lea happy. And it's insulting by basically saying LJ aren't professional actors by not being their characters and just being themselves in the moment.

I love LJ and could totally picture them goofing off similarly to what we saw at prom, but the bottom line is, it's on the screen, it's Jesse and Rachel. End of story.

ITA with all of this, Britt. I saw that discussion on the LJ thread on the Lea board and I made the same argument except not quite as ranty. Both Jon and Lea are professionals and when the director calls 'action!' they get into their character and play those scenes as their characters.

Besides, last season we saw them being all cute and happy during LAP in the Madonna episode and I didn't see prom as being any different. Jesse and Rachel were having fun and they made each other happy at prom. Well, that is until a certain someone had to go and eff it all up.

I love both sfm. The vocal range of Defying gravity wins me over song-wise. But Jesse and Rachel's rendition was perfect too. Why must they be against each other? DOES NOT LIKE.

Ugh I hate that Hello had to go up against Defying Gravity. I automatically vote for Hello but there had been times where I just voted for which song sucked less.

Awesome video, Britt! I'm so glad that you did a video that shows Jesse's side of things. I think he put his heart on the line with Rachel especially when he came back to Ohio, and Rachel really did him wrong in the season finale. I'm still not happy about what went down in the lobby after Nationals.

I've been trying to vote for RITD but I can only get to poll #24. I'll try it when I get home and maybe it'll work for me.

Thanks so much guys!! Yeah I definitely feel like Jesse needs a voice in the fandom. People are always so quick to judge him and while I love both Jesse and Rachel, I'm not too keen on Rachel right now just like I wasn't pleased with Jesse last season. I could rationalize Jesse's actions last year though which is why I forgave him quickly, but I'm having a much more difficult time forgiving Rachel's behavior. She deserved that apology. Now Jesse deserves one.

And guys, now another round with 2 songs Jonathan is in!!
